Mrs. Amy B. Coon Ehl, a former resident of the Second Mount Pleasant neighborhood, died in Coldwater, Michigan Friday Nov 7 after a two-year illness. Mrs. Ehl was the daughter of IW and Dora Coon. She was born in Fountain County August 31, 1888. She married Orval Ehl in 1913. He passed away in 1923. Previous in her marriage she had taught school in Fountain, Shelby and Johnson counties. For the past several years she had made her home with a brother in Terre Haute, Indiana but since her illness she had lived with her son Raymond in Quincy, Michigan. In addition to her son, she is survived by two granddaughters, a great granddaughter, one sister, Mrs. Chester Sandefur of Franklin and five brothers, including Dan Coon of Second Mount Pleasant community. Mrs. Ehl was a member of Second Mount Pleasant Church. The body will be returned to the Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home where friends may call Monday afternoon and evening or up to the time of the services which will be held at the funeral home at 2 Tuesday. Burial will be in the Second Mount Pleasant cemetery.
